I want to share mine with you!

"Luna had decorated her bedroom ceiling with five beautifully painted faces: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Neville. They were not moving as the portraits at Hogwarts moved, but there was a certain magic about them all the same: Harry thought they breathed. What appeared to be fine golden chains wove around the pictures, linking them together, but after examining them for a minute or so, Harry realised that the chains were actually one word, repeated a thousand times in golden ink: friends ... friends ... friends ..."

- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Luna is pure, is honest, and she is good. She's weird and random and has some social issues. She was a lonely kid - as I was - but when she meets Ginny, Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Neville they treat her like a human being. An odd human being, but an equal allowing Luna to practice social skills for the first time ever. She really doesn't know how to behave and how to react to the fact that she have friends. She must be a great friend. She probably still has weird beliefs, but they probably don't dominate her conversation as much. And she's probably very open to listening to other people's beliefs, too. I love that they love her anyway, because she deserves it. No child should have to be bullied and shunned for being weird, we should accept everyone the way they are and help them be the best themselves that they can be. I know that we had just learn about the Deathly Hallows at this point in the book but that paint in her ceiling left me in tears. I had to take a break. It was so beautiful!
