So, you're a Hufflepuff? That is awesome! People generally have a little bit of trouble to accept that they're Hufflepuff (or love it - there is a lot of those who love to be Hufflepuff and I had to mention that). I always had Puffs in my close circles of friends and they are pretty cool.
Students belonging to this house are known to be hard-working, friendly, loyal, honest and rather impartial. It may be that due to their values, Hufflepuffs are not as competitive as the other houses, and are more modest about their accomplishments. Hufflepuff is the most inclusive among the four houses; valuing hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play.
The Hufflepuff house might not be notorious, or treated as though it is relevant, but this perception is terribly askew. While there are movers and shakers in the world, the true power lies with those who keep things running. Not only are Hufflepuffs hard working, valuable contributors to society, they're the absolute structure of one. The people behind the scenes seem to never get the recognition that they deserve, but that is actually what makes them important. A Hufflepuff personality is focused upon fine details and order, they have no use for fame, or proving themselves deserving of any of this.None of the above means that they're not notable, however. The individual has aspirations and goals, so certainly Hufflepuffs will, too. Perhaps a Hufflepuff didn't invent the wheel, but you can be assured they figured out every possible adjustment to enhance its performance and usefulness. That's gold, my friend! Okay, so people don't value Hufflepuff as they should. I guess it all started when in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Draco Malfoy said “Imagine being in Hufflepuff. I think I’d leave, wouldn’t you?” From that very moment, Hufflepuff house was an underdog. Gryffindors are known for their valor; Ravenclaws, their intelligence; Slytherins are ambitious; and Hufflepuffs, well, they’re the nice guys. Take it from the Sorting Hat: “They are just and loyal / Those patient Hufflepuffs are true / And unafraid of toil.”
Being nice is a great thing and should be more appreciated that ity is but Hufflepuff have some important and strong characters too: To start, Cedric Diggory was a Hufflepuff and a hero. In the Triwizard Tournament, Cedric was brave and clever. Cedric was kind and fair. He refused to wear a “POTTER STINKS” badge and he helped Harry Potter figure out the Second Task — and in the end, he even insisted that he and Harry split the title of Triwizard champion. Cedric Diggory didn’t just make Hufflepuff house proud; he made it cool to be a Hufflepuff. For the first time in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter saga, Hufflepuffs became more than an joke. My favorite Hufflepuff needs to Nymphondora Tonks. She was a fierce member of the Order of the Phoenix, she sacrifice her life to fight alongside her husband at the Battle of Hogwarts (and she did it after giving birth because she was incredible). Her son, Teddy Lupin was a proud puff too and become Head Boy of Hufflepuff during his seventh year at Hogwarts. And don't even get me started on Newt Scamander: a ginger man who is awkward, shy, smart and adorable. Like, really, really adorable. Also, he's really good at finding things and he have a case full of beasts! Your dorms are also right next to the kitchens, so you can have midnight snacks (that always sound great to me).
If you don't believe in what I'm saying, J. K. Rowling said that they're her favorite house: On Harry Potter: Beyond the Page, J. K. Rowling had this to say about Hufflepuff House..."This may surprise people, but it is the truth...In many, many ways, Hufflepuff is my favourite House. Here's my reasoning, bear with me. (Again, I don't want to spoil things too much for people who haven't read the whole series, so I'm going to say what I'm about to say quite carefully). There comes a point in the final book where each House has the choice whether or not to rise to a certain challenge, and that's everyone in the House. The Slytherins, for reasons that are understandable, decide they'd rather not play. The Ravenclaws, some decide they will, some decide they won't. The Hufflepuffs, virtually to a person, stay, as do the Gryffindors. Now, the Gryffindors comprise a lot of foolhardy and show-offy people, that's just the way it is, I'm a Gryffindor, I'm allowed to say it. You know, there's bravery, and there's also showboating, and sometimes the two go together. The Hufflepuffs stayed for a different reason; they weren't trying to show off, they weren't being reckless, that's the essence of Hufflepuff House. Now my oldest child (my daughter, Jessica) said something very profound to me, not very many days ago, actually, she said to me --and she, by the way, was not sorted into Hufflepuff House-- but, she said to me, 'I think we should all want to be Hufflepuffs.' I can only say to you, that I would not be at all disappointed to be sorted into Hufflepuff House."
In short, Puffs are great. and we should all want to be a Hufflepuff!
